Taole Zhu is an artist, writer, and tech activist. As part of his artistic practice, he creates lecture performances that address cultural conceptions of future and their relationship to technology and contemporary aesthetics. As an activist, he also organizes workshops that explore the creative and political potential of new technology by artists and technologists. Taole Zhu is also the co-founder of the Office for Future Complex, and has published one academic paper on extremal graph theory and network systems, a few science fiction short novels and one futurist fountain design under various heteronyms. He was born and raised in Huzhou, China. Taole Zhu is currently finishing his final year in the MFA Photo, Video and Related Media program at the School of Visual Arts.
